Edelrid Fuse + Edelrid Defuser Rescue L
The FUSE sets a new benchmark for guided-type fall arresters. It is the only safety device on the market capable of handling payloads of up to 140 kg while meeting all relevant standards in both Europe and North America. From the very first meter, it moves effortlessly along the rope, thanks to an innovative attachment mechanism on the lever arm.
With a patent-pending design, the device separates the blocking mechanism from its speed-dependent activator, significantly enhancing safety and reliability. This design minimizes rope wear, prevents rope damage, and allows the blocking mechanism to release without the need to fully unload the device. The absence of a toothed clamping cam contributes to these benefits, while a practical locking function enables manual activation of clamping when necessary.
The FUSE can be easily attached to or detached from the rope without removing it from the carabiner. When paired with the lightweight and compact DEFUSER RESCUE energy absorbers (available in standard or L versions), the system reduces arrest shock by 30% compared to standard requirements. The variety of absorber lengths and performance features ensures optimal handling, making it well-suited for rescue operations and horizontal applications.
